Dr. Gold Elected AMA-OMSS Delegate to the AMA House of Delegates


At the June, 2018 Annual meeting of the Organized Medical Staff Section (OMSS) of the American Medical Association, MNA Past President Matthew D. Gold, M.D. (solo practitioner representing Highland Healthcare IPA) was elected Delegate to the House of Delegates of the AMA from OMSS. He steps up from 6 years as Alternate Delegate. This also places him on the Governing Council of the AMA-OMSS. He has also been appointed Chair of the OMSS Policy Committee. Dr. Gold is hoping to work with the delegations of the American Academy of Neurology and the Massachusetts Medical Society in furtherance of common goals as well as advocate strongly for the will of the OMSS, Highland Healthcare IPA and, of course, the practicing neurologist in Massachusetts.

Dr. Gold is the Delegate of the Massachusetts Neurologic Association to the House of Delegates of the Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS). He is also on the executive committees of the following within the MMS:

-Organized Medical Staff Section

-Committee for the Sustainability of Private Practice
