Dr. Deb has served on Executive Committee of the MNA since 2014, initially as Fellow Representative, and then as Senior Councilor and Social Media Representative. In this role, she has been involved in raising awareness about physician burnout. She conducted a survey of MA neurologists and presented results at the MNA annual conference in 2015. She has also worked with Oleg Yerokhin, MD to develop a Facebook page and Twitter account to promote MNA outreach initiatives.

Dr. Deb completed her neurology residency and Movement disorders fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine. She is currently a Movement disorders specialist at the University of Massachusetts (UMass), Worcester, MA. Her clinical interests are Parkinson's disease, multiple system atrophy, ataxia, dystonia and tremor. She also has botulinum toxin and deep brain stimulation clinics. She has developed a Movement Disorders fellowship at UMass. Her other interests include global health education and she serves as the Director of the Global Neurology Initiative at UMass. She is also interested in medical education and serves on the Capstone Faculty Committee at the UMass Medical School which oversees a 4-year research and discovery course for medical students.
