Dr. Selbst graduated Temple University School of Medicine in 1977. He did a medical internship at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he also then went on to complete his Neurology residency. He did a fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology at Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, and became board certified in Neurology in 1983. Dr. Selbst joined a large private practice in the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts where he practiced 26 years of general neurology and neuro-ophthalmology. For the past 8 years he has been a Staff neurologist at the Manchester VAMC (NH) where he has an interest in MS and serves as the director of its MS Center of Excellence. Dr. Selbst has been a member of AAN, the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society, and MNA for decades, and has served on the MNA Executive Committee for over 15 years, most of that time as Treasurer, the position he holds today.
